Scavenger hunts are some of my favorite team-building activities. They are a fun way for groups to work together. I planned a Louvre museum scavenger hunt for a group of teens this past weekend. The parents who joined the hunt had a great time too, so this is a wonderful family-friendly activity.

Although museums are temporarily closed, many are offering virtual tours. That is how we were able to have a scavenger hunt at the world’s largest museum, the Louvre Museum, from the comfort of our own homes. We simply did a virtual game via Zoom video conferencing.

If you would like to try a virtual museum scavenger hunt with your family (or a group of friends), here are the instructions and clues that I used…

Team Instructions

For each of the 10 Clues…

  • You get a point for getting the answer.
  • You get an additional 4 points if you are able to find an image of the answer in the online virtual tour. (Take a picture of it as proof.)
  • Each bonus point question is worth 2 points
  • The first team to finish, wins. If neither team completes the hunt in the allotted time*, the team with the most points win.

*I would give them an hour and a half to complete the activity

Please note:

  • Remain on the Louvre site
  • No external help (Internet, guidebook, phone-a-friend) can be used.
