Have you heard about Pip’s Island NYC, the new interactive adventure for kids? Take a peek:
Ivy Gifford, a Mom in the City mom team member, attended the show with her 5-year-old son, Cameron as media. They had a blast. In Ivy’s words:
“[clickToTweet tweet=”Pip’s Island was probably the best show for kids that I have ever attended.” quote=”Pip’s Island was probably the best show for kids that I have ever attended.” theme=”style3″]It was so much fun. It was great because you could walk around and touch things. Even though the parents were in there as assistant explorers, we adults enjoyed it too. It’s not just a show, but it’s also an adventure. You walk from room to room and you see and interact with new characters.
Grumble’s Bakery was our favorite part. Mrs. Grumble Plum was this huge character who only spoke grumblish. The kids made a cake for her to eat so that she could burp out someone whom she ate.
Walking into the freezer was another highlight. It was a real freezer with white confetti and dry ice to create the freezer effect. In it, people were playfully throwing confetti at each other.”
This immersive new event, part of the innovative children’s brand called Pip’s Island, is perfect for kids ages 4 to 10. The show is a mix of animation, live actors, and interactive technology. It’s kind of like a live video game for children. Pip’s Island was originally an animated show that follows the adventures of Pip, his friends Pebble and Finn and a variety of other characters who inhabit a mysterious island. Pip’s Island will only be in NYC through January 8th, so definitely go and see it while you can. (It would make a great holiday experience gift for kids.)
