My youngest son Sean turned seven on Saturday. Our sons get a birthday party every two years and this just so happened to be the year that he had one. The timing was a little crazy because we also moved last week, but it all worked out well. That is because Sean had asked to have his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s.
I didn’t need to do much. I ordered the package online. It included food and drinks, game tokens, a party host and more. I knew that it was going to be a crazy week so I also ordered the birthday cake and goody bag online too. I just had to follow up with the guests to have an accurate head count and to pay for everything at the end. While I definitely could have hosted a less expensive party at home, the convenience more than made up for the cost.
At the end of the party, I was asked to rate everything. I rated everything an excellent…except for the food. The food was only “fair”, but I was alright with that. Kids don’t especially like Chuck E. Cheese’s for the food. It’s more about the games and fun.
In any event, Sean declared it “one of his best birthdays ever”. Mission accomplished…he had a blast.
