Last week, I was thrilled to become a part of the Lenovo Moms program. It is a group of approximately a dozen online moms who will be sharing our experiences about Lenovo products over the next few months. What does this have to do with Ashton Kutcher? Well, we have something in common – he works with Lenovo too! (I know…it’s a stretch but Lenovo did hire Kutcher to be a “product engineer” for its next wave of products.)
Currently, these are the top 4 reasons that I’m especially excited to be a Lenovo Mom:
1. I will be receiving a Lenovo Flex 20 Dual-Mode Desktop as part of the program. I’m thrilled about this tabletop PC for several reasons. It is a social gaming computer and will be ideal for Michael to play Minecraft. Besides books, Minecraft PC was the only thing on Michael’s holiday wish list. I was hesitant to get it for him though, because I didn’t want him asking for my computer all of the time. Now, that dilemma is solved.
Although the Flex 20 is a PC, it is not too heavy. That means that I will be able to pick it up and move it from room to room. That will come in handy, because I tend to move from my desk area in the living room to my dining room table to my bed when I’m doing my business work. (Don’t ask…sometimes I have no rhyme or reason with certain things!) Last, but not least, I’m thrilled to be going back to Windows and learning about Windows 8.1 with the Flex 20 PC. CNET, one of my favorite online tech sites, even included the Flex 20 as one of their Best tablets, hybrids, laptops, and all-in-ones for Windows 8.1.
2. I will also be receiving the newly launched Lenovo Yoga Tablet. While my family already has a few tablets floating around our home, the thing that I like about this particular Android tablet is that it has a built-in kickstand that opens to let the tablet stand on its own. A tablet that is easy to grip when I’m holding it and hands-free when I need it to be? Double score!
3-4. In addition to the Lenovo products, I’m equally excited about the people and experiences that are involved with this program. In addition to the other moms (whom I will introduce in a future post), I’m happy to be working with Heidi and Techlicious Moms on this program. Heidi is one of my dear blogging friends. (We bonded back in June of 2010 when we were in LA together for the Kinect launch. )
This Thursday, there will also be an in-person group workshop dinner in NYC with several of the Lenovo Moms. I have the babysitting set and I’m ready to go and learn from the rest of the smart, talented women who are involved with the program. New York City is home so I’m even happier that I am planning on visiting Las Vegas and the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) for the first time. The Lenovo Moms will be going there to learn about and discuss 2014 Lenovo product announcements. How cool is that?
In any event, I will be sharing more as the program develops. Do you have any Lenovo, tablet, laptop or desktop questions? If so, please let me know and I’ll try to get them answered for you as soon as possible. Thanks!
