In the last week, I have been to a few events that introduced some new video games that will be out for the fall/holiday season. I can’t go into a lot of detail yet (for confidentiality reasons), but I wanted to share some of the fun games and great people that I met.

Last Wednesday, a friend and I stopped by the Blogger Night Out with Namco Bandai Games. This time I got so caught up in conversation with Liza that I ran out of time. I really wanted to play the We Cheer game that will be out in the fall, but I didn’t. It was still fun seeing other people play it though. I did get the chance to play National Geographic Panda on the DS though. It was a cute little educational game. (My family’s favorite NB game is We Ski. It’s so fun to see my husband and Michael competing. Simulating skiing is also a GREAT arm workout!)

On last Thursday night, I went to a Nintendo Holiday Cocktail Party. Nintendo really does throw great parties. A portion of the event was set up as a murder mystery to showcase Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir. (My “rap sheet” included an assault charge on a Saks Fifth Avenue security guard over a pair of Steve Madden shoes. I played along by saying, “Well, it WAS the last pair.”) My favorite game of the night though was Wii Music which will be coming out for the holiday season. I was just playing the drums with my Wii remote like I knew what I was doing! (Later this month, my husband and I are having several friends over for a Wii Party night, so I was able to pick up some great party-planning tips…now if only we had (room for!) 5 flat screen televisions in our home…) Some of the other moms that I spoke with at the event were ”Adelaide”, Beth , and Jessica.

Lastly, on this Tuesday, I went to a Guitar Hero Mom Blogger Breakfast where I had the chance to preview Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero: On Tour – Decades for the DS. I had a blast “rocking” with a few other moms. Honestly, I was pretty bad at it. I was stuck on “beginner level”. Some of the other moms — Shannon and Amy — were really good though. (I vowed to myself that I would play along with my husband on our Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock game at home, so that I wouldn’t hold everyone else back the next time!)
