MY LITTLE PONY: A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS Review and Giveaway

Earlier this week (on October 21st) MY LITTLE PONY A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS was released on DVD. In addition to the main story, the DVD also has several special features including a “That’s What I Love About Christmas” sing-a-long. With a suggested retail price of $16.99, the DVD runs around 66 minutes. We’re giving away one copy to a lucky Mom in the City member.

I liked the movie “A Very Minty Christmas” as a keepsake to show around Christmas time every year for the kids. Minty’s quest for perfection, lead the other Ponies to a more meaningful way of looking at Christmas. It teaches us a lesson that we can’t always have everything perfect. Minty made a mistake and was a bit hesitant to tell the other ponies about it. However, even after telling the other ponies, she was willing to makes sacrifices to try and improve the situation. That was very thoughtful. In the end all the ponies pulled together to help Minty out and this shows a great example of friendship. The various interlude of music with the ponies singing helped to capture the attention of the kids (her 3 years old son and 4 years old daughter), so that it wasn’t just a long story.
