The Safe Sippy Review and Giveaway

Kid Basix is giving away two of their The Safe Sippy™ stainless steel drink cups to one lucky Mom in the City member.

The thing about cups for kids is that you never know what your kid is going to like. My son Sean didn’t take to the cup (“No Thank You” he says when offered the cup) while it’s the staple cup for the child of another mom friend.

I am going to try to reintroduce the cup to Sean (sometimes it’s the timing of things with him – one day it’s a “no”, then it completely changes the next day!) because I really like it. I like the environmental (less plastic) and health (it’s free of Bisphenol A and other harmful chemicals). It’s also easier to clean (my number one pet peeve with cups for kids).

Right now, The Safe Sippy™ is offered at a variety of boutiques along with some larger chains such as Buy Buy Baby and Gap. You can find out where to buy it here.

Meanwhile, Mom in the City newsletter subscribers can enter to win the cups by leaving their name in the “Comments” section below or by sending an email to contests@mominthecity.com with “Sippy” in the Subject line by November 30th.

My family is trying to cut down on the use of plastic bottles so this Sppy cup would be great for my daughter to have.

You had me at the words “stainless steel”. With the BPA-scare, I’m trying to eliminate as many plastic toddler items I bought before I even knew what BPA was. This will be sooo useful.

    Thanks for this great giveaway!

We could always use another sippy cup around here! Mine aren’t usually terribly picky about the type of cups they have, but BPA-free is awesome in momma’s book!

FYI–just a note on this cup–it’s one for home and not on-the-go as it leaks big-time (I, too, was drawn by its non-BPA qualities and bought it at The Gap)
