Taking a “Sick Day”

Normally on Thursdays, I post reviews. I have some great ones that I want to share with you too. However, they’ll have to wait. I’m sick (and physically tired). When Michael’s teacher mentioned that he’d probably be “sick for a year” (as he adjusts to a “child group setting”), I didn’t realize that the rest of the family would be too …oh well!
So, I told my husband that I’m taking a “sick day”. The only thing about that is that stay at home moms don’t really get sick days. I won’t be doing much blog/writing work but I will still be:
-caring for the kids
-finishing the laundry
-doing the four hour kid school commute
-cleaning the entire place for visitors that are coming over
-cooking
-etc., etc., etc.
I need to figure out how to include some real sick days in my “mommy” contract…

Well, get as much rest as you can (between everything else)and feel better soon!
Feel better… and if you figure the Mommy contract thing out.. share..
Feel better…
Unless Daddy takes a day off so you can have a sick day I think you can forget about renegotiating that contract. Although they tend to still want Mommy when Daddy is around. Go figure.
