Laugh and Learn 3DVD Set Discount & Giveaway ($99.95 Value)

I had not heard about the Laugh and Learn DVD series until their PR agency reached out to me. Where have I been?! (They’re the #1 DVD classes for pregnant couples in America!) I did some research on the company and they’ve been featured in practically every pregnancy/baby magazine that I read. They’re also a celebrity favorite (in case you care about that type of thing). So, I was really excited when the company offered to give a Laugh and Learn 3DVD set to one lucky Mom in the City reader. (For those who don’t win, they’re also extending a 20% discount.)
Let me tell you a little bit more about these bestselling DVDs. They are taught by Sheri Bayles, RN. In addition to being a registered nurse, she is a certified Lamaze instructor and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 20 years of teaching pregnant couples. Each DVD basically shares about a specific topic in a fun, easy to understand way. The “About Breastfeeding” DVD lasts for one hour and covers basically everything a new mom might need to know about breastfeeding – from positions and frequency to dealing with various challenges. Personally, breastfeeding came very naturally and easy to me (except for that one case of mastitis!), but I’ve heard so many stories from moms who have had challenges with it. I know that there are a lot of classes out there on the topic, but I like the idea of being able to learn right in your home. The “About Childbirth” class is much longer – 4 ½ hours total. It is very comprehensive in covering all of the stages of labor from its onset through the postpartum period. I’m easily grossed out so I don’t know if I consider this particular one “fun”, but I do think that it will help an expectant mom feel more secure going into the childbirth experience, because it covers practically everything. (I say practically, because every childbirth experience is so unique – even by the same woman!) Lastly, the “About Newborn Baby Care” covers some basic essentials. I like this DVD the best, because both the expectant/new moms and dads can benefit equally from it. A variety of topics are covered including baby’s first baths, changing diapers, dressing the baby at various ages and much more. I must say that viewing the sweet little babies in these three DVDs makes me nostalgic – there’s nothing as miraculous as seeing a baby grow and develop the first few months of life (in my opinion anyway).
In any event, these DVDs make a great gift option for expectant and new moms who might be feeling a little nervous about what to do with their child. (As part of my research, I read some of the 100+ reviews on Amazon – these DVDs have helped a lot of women!) So, even if you don’t win the set, consider buying one (or all) of them. i checked out the eStore, the BabyBabyOBaby massage DVD sounds the most interesting. Both my kids love “leg massages”, it soothes them to sleep almost instantaneously.
My favourite item is the BabyBabyOhBaby – Infant Massage DVD! I remember how much my kids loved me massaging them and now that they are having their own children, I know they would love to learn to massage their babies effectively!
