Pokémon Platinum Version

One of Michael’s favorite birthday gifts was the Pokémon Platinum Version Nintendo DS game. He’s such a little gamer – 10 of the 13 items on his birthday “wish list” were video games! We bought him 3 (Bolt, Madagascar 2 and Phineas & Ferb). The Pokémon one was a (fortunately timed) review item from Nintendo DS. It came with this really cool zip case featuring a Pokemon form. Michael was equally excited by the case as the game. I think that as he gets older, he’s not too excited about carrying my pink DS on the train. Oh well.
It’s no small wonder that Michael enjoys the game. Although I don’t especially “get it”, the Pokémon series of games have been around for over a decade. People love this role-playing game! Millions of copies of the new game have already been sold in Japan since its September ’08 launch there. Hundreds of people also gathered at the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Plaza this past weekend (March 21st) to preview and purchase the U.S. Pokémon Platinum Version video game.
