We Got a Kick out of the Kickin’ Coaster

My sons are out of the baby seat phase. However, I have access to kids of all ages and I know that many of you still have small kids. That’s why I agreed to review the new Kickin’ Coaster.

My first test of a baby product is the ease of assembly. This one passed with flying colors. In fact after taking out the pieces, I was distracted by a phone call for a few minutes. When I turned back to the pieces, Michael and Sean had already put everything together. (Besides my having to switch the seatback frame from the front to the rear, they had actually done it right!)

Neither of my sons really took to just sitting in stationary seats when they were babies, so I wonder if they would have enjoyed this more active seat. It has a kick plate at the end of the seat (with cute little footprint visuals) for the kid to move back and forth. It also comes with lights, sounds and attached toys to keep the baby stimulated. When it’s time for the baby to rest, you can set the coaster to its stationary setting. I love multipurpose products and this is a great one. Sometimes a visual is better than words, so take a look at the demo below:

Normally at this point (since I have no personal use for this product), I would give it away to a lucky Mom in the City reader. However, this time I’m giving it away to a local family with three kids that recently lost practically everything that they had in an apartment fire. Every little bit helps! (You can check the Learning Curve site to see where you can purchase your own coaster. The suggested retail value is $69.99.)
