Dyson DC25/ Transformers 2 Vacuum Giveaway
June 22, 2009 by Kimberly · 964 Comments
Congrats to winner: Andrea H
Are you a Transformers fan? (My husband and Michael are.) Well, one of Dyson’s vacuum cleaners (the Dyson DC25) is going to be in the new Transformers 2 movie coming out on Wednesday (6/24). In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) will once again join with the Autobots against their enemies, the Decepticons. The Dyson DC25 is going to be one of the Decepticons. To celebrate, Dyson is giving away one of their DC25 models ($499.99) to one lucky Mom in the City reader!

Even though I don’t own one, I have read great things about the Dyson DC25 from other moms. (Do you think that it would be unethical for me to enter my own giveaway and choose my name as the winner? Yep, that’s what I thought.) Anyway, here are some of the features of the vacuum that I like:
• It’s for use on all types of floors.
• It only weighs 16 pounds, but it’s really powerful.
• It’s wand reaches 16ft. for high-reach cleaning.
• Since the motor is inside a ball, the vacuums is easy to use and turn (it doesn’t only go in a straight line).
•It has been certified asthma & allergy friendly™
I don’t have an image of what the vacuum is going to look like when it is transformed in the movie, but T3, a gadget website has some ideas regarding what they think the Dyson Decepticon will look like. I like this one the best:
To win the Dyson DC25 vacuum cleaner, please visit Dyson’s website and tell me one of the features (using their terminology) that you like about the DC25 in the “Comments” section below by July 15th.

DC28 Animal combines three cleaner head technologies, each precisely adjusting to clean every floor type thoroughly.
This is so high tec; even with ease of utilization; beats the heck out of robo vac.
One of my favorite features is the telescoping wand.
I sent you a friend request on Facebook.
I love Optimus Prime!
The Quick-draw Telescope Reach wand sounds like something I would use a lot! This would be perfect timing too, because my vacuum just broke. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Love the on-board accessories- not having to worry about where they are
I like the Ball Technology because I am disabled and have a lot of trouble using my hands. With this features I will be able to vacuum by myself and not have to ask for help! Yeah!

Along Came You by Karona Drummond seems like a book I would love. I taught school (middle school special education) for 14 years before an injury forced me to stop working. I think my daughter would like this book as well. At the age of 5 she is very intuitive and is able to understand and relate to people’s feelings. She says she wants to be a teacher (and a doctor and a mom–as well as a gymnast at the Olympics!!”

The best, BEST feature is that the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has certified it is friendly to help relieve the allergens that aggrivate Asthma and Allergies. Since I have a husband and two boys with Asthma this would be beneficial for them and help my own seasonal allergies.
