Dyson DC25/ Transformers 2 Vacuum Giveaway
June 22, 2009 by Kimberly · 966 Comments
Congrats to winner: Andrea H
Are you a Transformers fan? (My husband and Michael are.) Well, one of Dyson’s vacuum cleaners (the Dyson DC25) is going to be in the new Transformers 2 movie coming out on Wednesday (6/24). In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) will once again join with the Autobots against their enemies, the Decepticons. The Dyson DC25 is going to be one of the Decepticons. To celebrate, Dyson is giving away one of their DC25 models ($499.99) to one lucky Mom in the City reader!

Even though I don’t own one, I have read great things about the Dyson DC25 from other moms. (Do you think that it would be unethical for me to enter my own giveaway and choose my name as the winner? Yep, that’s what I thought.) Anyway, here are some of the features of the vacuum that I like:
• It’s for use on all types of floors.
• It only weighs 16 pounds, but it’s really powerful.
• It’s wand reaches 16ft. for high-reach cleaning.
• Since the motor is inside a ball, the vacuums is easy to use and turn (it doesn’t only go in a straight line).
•It has been certified asthma & allergy friendly™
I don’t have an image of what the vacuum is going to look like when it is transformed in the movie, but T3, a gadget website has some ideas regarding what they think the Dyson Decepticon will look like. I like this one the best:
To win the Dyson DC25 vacuum cleaner, please visit Dyson’s website and tell me one of the features (using their terminology) that you like about the DC25 in the “Comments” section below by July 15th.

I like the fact that it is “Hygienic and quick to empty”.
Many things about this great machine that are great: lightweight, well built, and very hygienic.
I have always want a Dyson. The coolest feature is the Single-action wand with instant 16ft reach for stair and high-reach cleaning. I have never seen that on any other vacuum.
I like the ball technology. I’ve never seen anything like that before.
I also think that the “Quick-draw Telescope Reach™ wand” is a cool feature, but the lifetime washable HEPA filter is also attractive.
Thanks for the chance to win.
Root Cyclone™ technology I figure if it picks up like a cyclone there shouldn’t be much left behind.
I like the Ball technology-Steers smoothly with a turn of the wrist.
I like that it is certified asthma and allergy friendly. I have a built in house vacuum now that I absolutely HATE. It has no suction and definitely is not allergy friendly.

(
Anyway I see those commercials and think “this is the vacuum for me”. Here’s one of the things I like about it …
Dyson cyclone technology doesn’t lose suction because it doesn’t rely on a bag or filters. Dirt has no chance.
