Holiday Giveaway: Subscription To Little Passports

November 6, 2009 by Kimberly · 16 Comments

Have you heard about Little Passports yet? I was able to see and learn about this subscription service from Stefania of Clever Girls Collective while at Blogalicious 2009. There were several things that I like about the concept. Below are the top two:

1. It makes geography fun. I must admit that I have the worst sense of geography. While growing up, we always had the option of taking either history or geography classes. I was a history buff/that was my major in college, so (obviously) I stuck to the history courses. I’m trying to raise my sons to be a bit more balanced in their education /be more world savvy. That’s why I like the fact that the two main characters (Sofia and Sam) travel to new countries and share about what they learn.

2. I like that the kids will get packages in the mail.
Michael’s aunt has bought him several subscriptions to various kiddie magazines in the past. Without fail, he is always thrilled when mail arrives with his name on it. With this service, kids receive country-specific letters, souvenirs, games and activities. I was impressed when I saw the quality of a sample package. It’s obvious that a lot of thought has been put into this subscription service.

I won a free three month subscription to Little Passports ($38.85 value) while at Blogalicious and I’m going to give it to one of you (my readers – who are the reason that I was able to attend/speak at the conference). In case you are considering purchasing a subscription for a special little one in your life, plans vary from monthly ($10.95) to annual ($131.40) subscriptions.

To win the subscription, visit Little Passports and let me know which country you are most excited about your kid getting a package from in the “Comments” section below by December 4th at noon. For an additional entry, comment on an “Ask & Answer” or any other non-giveaway post during the promotion period.

I would be most excited about my children receiving a package from France since they are partially French and I have only spoken to them in French since birth. Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

My kids are half japanese, so naturally, i think they’ll be thrilled to see mail coming in their own names from japan.

I love the idea of the passport kits, but was disappointed to see that there is not Italy or Ireland – my son’s heritage. I would be excited to see the package from Japan as my 3 year old is a big Yankee fan and it would be a great opportunity to show him where Hideki Matsui is from – one of his favorite players. Yes, my 3 year old can name almost the entire starting line-up! LOL I guess we want a lot of baseball!!!

  5. I would love South Africa to come in the mail.

You must live somewhere in Canada because your system says I’m posting an hour after I actually am, plus it’s not noon yet on the west coast, so I’ll take a chance and enter…

I’d be most excited about my daughter getting a package from Germany or Holland, because I spent a total of almost 12 years living in those countries as a child when my Dad was in the Air Force and she sees my photos from there all the time.
