What is your favorite tea?

December 16, 2009 by Kimberly · 9 Comments

December 16 Tea of the year. I can taste my favorite tea right now. What’s yours?

I love tea. I’m not very particular about the brand either. Lipton is fine. So is Celestial Seasonings. Tazo is a bit better. My favorite of the year though is “Egyptian Chamomile” from Art of Tea. I am not the only one who thinks that Art of Tea is wonderful as evidenced by the fact that they have won several tea awards. I like the taste of loose teas, but I don’t especially like the bother. That is why I especially like their teas – they have really great tea leafs presented in an (eco-friendly, biodegradable) pyramid shaped sachet. It’s the best of both (tea) worlds!

By the way, they have a tea of the month club that would make an excellent holiday gift for tea lovers like myself. (Just in case you’re reading Reggie…)

Are you a tea drinker? If so, what is your favorite tea?

Oh, I like this idea – the tea of the month club and I have never HEARD of this brand! (You are the first Best09 blog I am reading today…) I would love to spend more time leisurely drinking tea with my daughter this winter before she heads off to college next Fall. I think I will get some for us to share… THANK YOU!

I am a BIG coffee drinker but I do love Starbucks Holiday tea Joy but I must not be the only one. Near me all the stores run out way before Christmas.

with my chinese heritage and my marriage to a japanese man, “tea” is a big part of our culinary experience. I like the half-fermented green tea, nonfloral. My dad usually buys me loose tea leaves in hongkong, imported from china. We go by the way it smells and look. I won’t spend anymore than a few bucks an ounce, which is good enough for a midrange decent cup of tea. Of course there are these fancy ones that cost more than gold (literally), and there are certain ways to steep and savor the tea also. I’m not too crazy about the tea ceremony procedures, and chinese/japanese have very different ceremonies.

Popped by as I was sipping my new favorite tea – Trader Joe’s Christmas Tea. It’s green tea with peppermint. I thought it might be too minty but I love it. I’m going back to buy several boxes before they this continue for the season. Happy holidays and hope you’re having fun with all that snow!

I bought a Chai Latte tea mix which is delicious. Believe it or not, I found it at a local discount store on the shelf for $1.49. It can be mixed with either hot water or milk… Just delicious.
