-Devon Morales came to NYC 10 years ago to pursue her dream of acting. After attending the prestigious “American Academy of Dramatic Arts” she appeared in several stage productions and won a leading role in an award winning short film. However, it was during her after school job where she discovered her real love in her coworker Kenny. She has now found new dreams for herself in being a wife and mother to Samuel (2 1/2), who is quite the performer himself. She hopes one day to return to the stage.
-Issa M. Mas is a born and bred New York City girl. She is the proud mother of a baby boy, Theodore. Issa has moved around quite a bit in her career and is now going back to her first love - writing. She is currently working on a children’s book.
-Jennifer Lehner used to practice law in Maryland. Now she practices parenting in New York City. She lives on the Upper West Side with her husband, Steve, and two children, Charlie (3 ½) and Vivi (18 months). When she is not busy slaving away in the kitchen heating up chicken nuggets, helping Charlie capture and domesticate any insects he discovers in his room, or prying Vivi off the bookshelf, she can usually be found with her nose in a book or on her laptop, making loud, though typically ignored, declarations that Mommy really, really needs to get some writing done now.
-Jennifer Maslowski has been an on-and-off New Yorker, and an on-and-off freelance writer, nearly all her life. She lives in Harlem with her husband Bill and daughter Alida. She also works part-time as a fine arts appraiser, and is a regional coordinator for Families with Children from China.
-Lesley Thompson is originally from Houston, TX. She came to New York in 1989 to attend NYU where she received her B.A. in English. -Lorena Perez is from Brooklyn NY. She attended FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NY as an Illustration Major. Freelancing part time while busy raising her “three God-given blessings” - son Daniel and her two little girls Sofia and Leila, she states, “All is possible with God and my amazing husband Cris Perez.”
