Please contact Kimberly (kcoleman@mominthecity.com) regarding the opportunities mentioned below:

Consulting: Kimberly by no means considers herself a “social media expert”. However, she holds a unique place in the market because she has a large variety of both online and offline relationships with a diverse group of moms. She combines almost a decade of corporate experience in research, business analysis and sales development along with almost five years in the “mom space” – online and off. If you would like to reach moms of young kids, bloggers (especially NYC area and African American ones) or a mixture of the two, she will help you to do so. Kimberly has consulted for Suave, Dell, Play This Way and a variety of other confidential companies in the past.

Corporate Events: Kimberly will travel to attend and to share about relevant corporate events if they fit into her family’s schedule. The end of the weeks and summer (her husband is a teacher) events are the best. She has traveled to attend a variety of events including those sponsored by Disney, General Mills, Euro-Pro, and Wedgwood. (She was also the lead blogger for Disney’s Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey Blog.) In addition, Kimberly regularly attends NYC area events.

Family Travel: Kimberly and her family (husband and two sons) will visit family-oriented travel destinations on the week-ends and during school breaks. Past trip highlights include a family trip to Disney, a weekend stay at Coco Keys (an indoor water park) and a night at the Hyatt in NYC.

Speaking: Kimberly has spoken on a variety of panels and at a variety of events. Blogging, parenting young kids, life balance and African American moms are her primary topics. (You can see the “Press” page for some examples.)

Miscellaneous: Kimberly served as a “parenting expert” for three years on the BabyZone/ParentZone site until the company was sold. She is currently available for various writing assignments including (but not limited to) writing for corporate blogs that are a natural fit to her family’s lifestyle.
