Congratulations to the winner: Edith
Do you live in the NYC area and have a daughter age 3+? If so, you’ll definitely want to enter this special 3 day giveaway.
Mattel and Barbie are having a very special playdate on September 29th from 4 – 6pm. They will be officially launching a new, full line of African American Barbie dolls called So In Style. Mom in the City received 4 spots for this event. (This is one of those times that I want to “borrow” a girl!) One of my blogging friends Linda is going to attend the event with her daughter to write about it for this site. I’m going to give the other 2 spots to a lucky Mom in the City reader for her and her daughter!

So In Style was created by Mattel designer, Stacey McBride-Irby. She is an African-American mom with two kids. After seeing her five-year-old daughter play, Stacey developed a line of African-American fashion dolls that her daughter could be inspired by.

The winner of this special giveaway and her daughter will be able to play with So In Style dolls, meet the designer who created them and have some sweet sips and sweets at a special Upper East Side spot (and of course take home a doll of your own too). How cool is that?!
To win, please visit the So In Style site and tell me the name of your favorite doll in the line by Saturday, September 26th at noon.
For an extra entry, please tell me the name of your favorite doll when you were growing up. (I loved my Mrs. Beasley doll.)
