It’s THAT time of the year again…
If you are a new(er) Mom in the City reader, I compile my holiday toy lists by combining the following: toy “expert” recommendations, input from other moms, and input from my sons and their diverse group of friends. There is a little something for every tween boy on your list (toys, sporting goods, clothing, video games, books and more) at various price points. My affiliate partner Amazon gave me an influencer page this year. You can find it at https://www.amazon.com/shop/mominthecity, but I have also included my top picks in this post.
Before I share the gift picks that are available on Amazon, I want to share three other gift categories for you to consider:
1. Event tickets: Sports tickets (*Jets, Knicks, Harlem Globetrotters, etc.), Broadway and off-Broadway theater tickets, and other show tickets (Big Apple Circus, Gazillion Bubble Show, Encounter Ocean Odyssey, etc.) leave lasting memories.
2. Classes: As parents, we can’t always leave specialized learning to our kids’ school teachers. If your son has a special interest, consider gifting them tickets to online or physical classes. Swimming, cooking, martial arts, and sports classes are just a few options. Personally, a Masterclass.com ad for a Stephen Curry basketball class caught my attention. One of my nephews LOVES him.
3. Travel: This is one of the most special gifts. Travels leave memories for a lifetime. Whether it’s a local getaway for a couple of days or a full-fledged trip, travel is definitely a gift that keeps on giving! (My sons are both graduating to new schools – middle and high – in May so my husband and I are hoping to take them on a special “Congratulations” trip this summer. It will be so much fun!)
