7 Inspiring Christian Christmas Gifts 2019

I was baptized 25 years ago and Christianity influences every part of my life. That is why I want to share some Christian Christmas gift ideas.

The truth is that faith-themed gifts depend on the recipient. You can find a ton of Christian-themed gift options (totes, hats, figurines, candles, hats, coin purses, wristlets, checkbook covers, Bible covers, coloring books, umbrellas, etc.) but they didn’t make my personal list because they just aren’t things that I would use. I would enjoy any of the following:

1. AppareL

Of course, I have to share some of my bestselling Christian apparel items – Prayer Ninja, I Love Hip Hop And Church, and I Have Jesus And A Therapist. (I created the last shirt because I have encouraged many of the women whom I have mentored spiritually to get professional help. There is absolutely no shame in Christians having therapists!)

2. Books

Besides Bibles and commentaries, there are great Christian books on practically every topic – from prayer to business. It is helpful to know the gift recipients’ favorite authors or areas that they would like to learn more about before deciding which book to get for them. Believe Bigger: Discover the Path to Your Life Purpose (business) and All Things to All People—The Power of Cultural Humility which discusses how to navigate cultural conflicts within the church are currently on my “to get” list.

3. Paper Gifts

Planners, calendars, and journals are all great options. For me, prayer and Bible study are the foundational elements of a relationship with God. My mind can sometimes wander when I pray, so I often jot down my prayers to stay focused. I created this Morning Prayer Journal to write my prayers down.

4. Pen and Bookmark Set

I love pen and paper, so these pen and bookmark gift sets are welcome. (I’m a “dinosaur”. In a sea of folks reading their Bibles and taking notes on their phones, I still love a physical Bible, paper journal and a pen!)

5. Music

With Pandora and Spotify, I really wonder how musical artists still continue to make money. That’s why I like to buy gospel singles or entire albums of songs that I really enjoy. Lecrae, Marvin Sapp, Tasha Cobbs, Kirk Franklin, Koryn Hawthorne, and Fred Hammond are some of my current favorites. Lauren Daigle’s You Say is also very popular.

6. Mugs

I love my morning cup of tea in an inspirational mug. I don’t know what my word (or words!) of the year for 2020 will be. If it’s a Biblical term, I would enjoy it as a gift mug. “Grace” was my word for 2018 and this was my mug:

7. Jewelry

There is some beautiful jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, etc.) that allow people to express their faith in subtle ways. For example, a friend of mine had a bracelet with different colored stones representing the different fruits of the Spirit, which was beautiful. In the past, I have had my words of the year combined with beaded jewelry in the color of the year. Etsy also has a lot of beautiful Christian jewelry options.
