Crock pot chili: Two-step chicken chili recipe

simple-chicken-chili
Chicken, turkey and fish are basically going to be my “go to” meats for the next few months. (I’m participating in a low-key “fit by forty” challenge with a few of my girlfriends.) Since I prefer tomato-based chilies, I love this tomato based chicken chili recipe that I’m sharing with you today – especially with a dash of hot sauce! It’s really simple. Even if you don’t have a slow cooker, you can just cook it on a stovetop using the directions from the My easy chili recipe.

Parenting principles followed by bibimbap at Do Hwa

Saturday evening was such a special time. Since Reggie and I were attending a parenting workshop in the evening, his aunt kindly volunteered to keep the boys overnight. Yes…education AND a date night. Double score!

The parenting workshop was very helpful. Douglas Jacoby, an international Christian teacher, came into town to discuss the principles from his parenting book, The Quiver. While the six principles that he shared about were from a Biblical viewpoint, I think that they apply to parenting overall. I will briefly share them below. (If you are a Christian parent, I especially recommend purchasing the book for more detailed guidance!)

Crazy Easy Crock Pot Chicken Recipe Video

Some recipes take a lot of ingredients and prep work, so I get a sense of satisfaction when they turn out well. 1.     A standard by which something can be measured or judged

Although I didn’t make resolutions for 2013, I did choose my three words. They are generosity, faithfulness and openness. Last year taught me their importance in this carousel of life. I also thought back to an interview that I was listening to last year. (I don’t remember who gave it or I would link to it.) In the conversation, the person doing the interview asked the interviewee, “What are your personal benchmarks of success?” I like that question, so I thought about what my personal benchmarks of success would be for this year. On December 31, 2103, when I look back on this year, I will consider it a success if I…
