Do you listen to podcasts? I do. While I make a living as a blogger and enjoy reading blogs when I get the chance, I will admit that I listen to more podcasts than I read blogs. (Shhh.) The main reason is that I can listen to the audio while I’m doing something else that doesn’t need my full attention. I primarily listen to both audio and video podcasts. (Just because it’s video doesn’t mean that you have to watch it!) I listen to them on iTunes while I’m exercising, doing housework and while I’m doing business tasks that don’t need my full attention. While I’m not a big fan of multitasking overall, there are certain tedious aspects of business that just need to be done. I listen to podcasts while I do those things and then shut them off when it’s time to take a closer look at my work before approving it. It’s part of my “elevate the things you hate” philosophy. For instance: I do not like exercising, but I like being healthy. If I can learn something while I’m exercising (which I do with podcasts), then it makes that time more meaningful to me. Oh well, that’s how my mind works!
Anyway, I listen to a lot of different business podcasts, but I am only currently subscribed to ten of them. Of those ten, women host the following four:
1. Eventual Millionaire by Jaime Tardy
One of my favorite quotes is “Success leaves clues”. That is why I enjoy listening to Jaime Tardy as she receives business advice from the millionaires that she interviews on her weekly video podcast. Her bubbly onscreen demeanor and inquisitive nature combine to produce some really great shows.
2. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
Although Amy Porterfield initially specialized in Facebook marketing(she’s the co-author of Facebook Marketing All-In-One for Dummies), she has broadened her niche to encompass online marketing overall. It’s a smart move, because she is a wealth of information. The fact that she worked on online marketing and social media for Anthony Robbins (whose tape series I bought as a teen!) just makes me respect her guidance even more. Her podcast includes a mix of interviews with top online media strategists and Amy Porterfield answering frequently asked reader questions.
3. The Mompreneur Summit with Jill Christensen
I already included Jill Christensen in the Favorite Newsletters for WAHM Entrepreneurs post. In addition to having a helpful newsletter, Jill also interviews various mompreneur experts regarding tips on attaining financial abundance on her podcast.
4. The Lifestyle Entrepreneur Podcast with Kris Gilbertson
I definitely consider myself to be a lifestyle entrepreneur. If you have read my About page, then you know that my work fits into my life priorities. That is probably why I appreciate this podcast that focuses on transforming your business to fit into your preferred lifestyle. On this podcast, Kris Gilbertson interviews a variety of successful lifestyle entrepreneurs on the topics of strategy, marketing and mindset.
Now that I have shared my favorite women business podcasts, I would love to hear from you. What are some of your favorite business podcasts? Feel free to leave a link to the podcast too (including your own, if you have one). Thanks!
