On Sunday, February 3rd, the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens will play in the Big Game 47. The fact that the two coaches are brothers is really the only football fact that I know. For me, the Big Game is mainly a fun time to gather with family and friends to watch the commercials and halftime show. Of course, I can’t forget the food. As such, below are my favorite FCM Super Bowl food & recipes…along with some contributions from my foodie friends. Enjoy!
Healthier Dip Alternatives
–Easy avocado hummus
–Pico de gallo guacamole
-Mango peach salsa “with a kick”
-One year at our party, a friend made the best 2-ingredients dip that she served with specialty crackers. She simply placed a jar of Harry & David’s Sweet Red Pepper Spread over a package of Philly cream cheese. Both the girls and the guys loved it. (If you want to make the presentation a little bit more appealing, you could place the mixture in the center of a large, cleared-out red pepper and place the crackers around that. Either way…the dip will be gone at the end of your party!
Pizza
–We normally order Papa John’s pizza (and wings), but you can always make your own Simple Pizza. This is especially fun if several little ones will be a part of the celebration.
Chilies
–Stovetop chili
–Slow cooker chili
Sliders
–Three meat sliders
Another past hit
–Tommy’s “famous” taco pie
