Congrats to the winner: Wendy!
There are various holiday gift-giving philosophies. I am of the “give them what they want” school of thought. Throughout the year, I give my kids what they need or what I want them to have. For birthdays and holiday gifts though, it’s all about what they will be excited about receiving. Although I don’t have daughters, I do a lot of volunteer work with girls of all ages and I have many nieces, so I have a pretty good grasp on what girls are excited about this holiday season. I must say that the American Girl dolls are still at the top of most girl wish lists. I was sent the newest doll, Caroline, to review. Her quality is equally amazing as prior AG dolls. Since I don’t have a daughter, I’m giving the Caroline doll away to a lucky reader. Be certain to read the bottom of this post to see how you can win. Good luck!

2. Doc McStuffins (The “Time For Your Check Up” doll is a top pick.)
4. Monster High High School Playset
**Monster High is huge right now. I would get this playset as soon as possible, because I’m pretty sure that it will sell out. I gave the high school (that I received for editorial consideration) to a “Mom in the City” mom. She had mentioned on Facebook how much her daughter loves Monster High. In fact, her daughter had a Monster High themed birthday party. Both mom and daughter are thrilled!
Ages 4+

Now, for the fun part…
To enter to win the American Girl “Caroline” doll, newsletter subscribers simply need to let me know the name of your favorite doll when you were growing up in the “Comments” section below. (Mine was a Mrs. Beasley talking doll.) For an extra entry, you can send out a tweet saying “Enter to win Caroline, American Girl’s newest doll at Mom in the City: http://bit.ly/W5HSEL by 12/1.” A winner will be picked on 12/1 at noon.
**I received review copies of these items for editorial consideration.
