My sons Michael and Sean have two categories of things on their wish lists for this holiday season: video game related picks and books. Personally, I’m fine with that. Michael considers himself a “gamer” and I think that he won me over by creating a “Happy Mother’s Day” image that moved in “Minecraft” one year. Between my occasional work (I typically use my laptop) and the kids constant homework and gameplay, the keyboard for our family computer was getting a lot of wear and tear. That is why I was happy to have Michael review the Logitech G Gaming Keyboard (the Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum) that Logitech sent to me for review purposes. This is what Michael has to say:
- Romer-G Mechanical Switches: They register key presses up to 25 percent faster than competing mechanical switches. (I’m not a huge PC gamer, but I know that speed matters and gives you an edge in gaming competition.)
- Intelligent RGB Illumination: You can see the central backlighting in the video. What you can’t see though is that you can customize the lighting from a range of 16.8 million colors.
- Arx Control Integration: This is an optional Logitech G app that displays a wide range of in-game info on your mobile device.
In any event, Michael has just touched the surface of using this keyboard. In his view, it’s already a “perfect” keyboard. I think that gamers (of all ages!) will enjoy this durable keyboard that they can use at home. They can even take the keyboard outside of the home for gaming activities. because it is also very light. The Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum is currently available for $129.99 (with free shipping) at gaming.logitech.com
