It’s called the Magellan Maestro 4250.
Earlier this summer, I was working on a summer get-away type article where one of the recommended items was a GPS. I reached out to Magellan and they were kind enough to send me one to review. This week-end my husband Reggie put the GPS to a road test. He and my son Michael were so excited (and my husband is a very cool, not easily excited person…)
Although I encouraged Reggie to check the box and make sure that all of the pieces were there AND to read the instructions, he didn’t. Fortunately, this device was user-friendly. Reggie tested it on places that he already knew how to get to. He was (pleasantly) surprised that the GPS gave him the exact same routes that he normally takes. We also liked that in addition to the voice and sound prompts, the touch screen on the GPS is a good size (4.3″) with writing that is large enough (so that you won’t be straining to see while you’re driving). Reggie and Michael kept saying “This is SO cool!”
On a side-note, I’m really happy that we have this GPS. I’m going to be taking driving lessons soon and I feel more at ease that I won’t be going in the wrong direction down streets (the GPS tells you which direction to turn on which street…yes!).
