I hope that everyone is doing well. Election coverage has dominated the news (and my in-box!) this week but I still have a couple of college prep updates to share.
College Prep Friday (11/9/24)
Here are a couple of quick tips to keep you on track:
Naviance News
Many high schools use Naviance as a college application hub. (You can read What Is Naviance and How Does It Help With College Planning? if you’re unfamiliar with the platform.)
If your seniors attend a Naviance school, they need to update their “Colleges I’m Applying To” list in Naviance. It is important to keep that list accurate and up-to-date. This is key because high schools send transcripts, recommendations and other important documents to prospective colleges through the platform. If your teens need help, encourage them to talk to the guidance or college counselors at their high school.
Personal Finance Training
Senior year is a great time for teens to start thinking more about their financial futures. Next Gen Personal Finance can help them boost their financial knowledge. The site offers FREE empowering lessons on helpful topics like:
- FAFSA
- Scholarships and Grants
- Loans
- Financial Aid Packages
- Loan Repayment
