Sometimes my chicken wings are not thawed out by lunchtime. Thankfully, they don’t need to be. This Ninja frozen chicken wings in air fryer recipe is easy to make in my Ninja AF101 – no thawing necessary.
Air fryers really can be lifesavers. They provide an easy (and often faster) way to cook healthier meals. For instance, these chicken wings are delicious and keto-friendly.
Simple Steps
For the Ninja AF101…
1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
2. Drizzle oil over the frozen wings and season them with your favorite herbs and spices. (I just use seasoned salt and black pepper, since I’m going to use a sauce at the end.)
3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
4. Place the frozen chicken wings inside the air fryer basket.
5. Cook the wings for 15 minutes at 390°F, then flip them and cook for an additional 15 minutes, or until they are thoroughly cooked.
Serve and enjoy!
*Once the wings were cooked, I poured some homemade hot honey sauce (1 tbsp of hot sauce for every 3 tbsp of honey) over them.

Tips
Here are some tips for making the best air fryer frozen chicken wings:
- Use a good quality air fryer. I love my Ninja AF101.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket so that the wings can cook evenly. (You can cook about 5 wings at a time in the Ninja AF101.)
- Flip the wings halfway through cooking. This will help them to cook evenly on both sides.
- Season the wings with your favorite seasonings. This is a great way to add flavor to your wings. If I wasn’t planning on adding a sauce, I would use my regular chicken seasonings (seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika).
- You don’t have to use hot honey sauce. Instead, you can serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce (like ranch, blue cheese or plain hot sauce).
With the Ninja air fryer, it is so simple to prepare tasty chicken wings without thawing them beforehand. (The hot honey drizzle is totally optional.) I hope that your family enjoys this recipe!
