My husband Reggie is a HUGE sports fan. He loves watching it on television, reading about it and even listening to sports commentary on the radio. Lately, he has been falling asleep with our local sports station playing on the radio. Since I usually go to bed after he does, I often hear a lot of what they are talking about…the good (Linsanity), the bad (Penn State scandal) and the inspirational. Last week, I heard a recording of football player Ray Lewis speaking to the Stanford basketball team. It was so rousing! Several of the lines stood out including the following:
-If tomorrow wasn’t promised, what would you give for today?
-Leave your legacy!
-Effort is between you and you!
-Every day is a new day. Every moment is a new moment.
I was looking online and I saw that there is a YouTube video of the speech. It is only a little over two minutes, so I have included it below.
