My mouth is still watering over yesterday’s food gift suggestions. Today, I’ll be sharing a variety of gifts – from simple pleasures to splurges. Enjoy!

1. BEEKMAN 1802: This company makes artisanal, hand-made products on the founders’ 200 year old Beekman Farm in upstate NY. All of their products are beautiful, but I’m especially impressed by their highly-praised goat milk soaps. Their February “Soap of the Month” includes red hot candy and patchouli scents among others. In addition to great Valentine’s Day gifts, I personally think soaps are great hostess gifts year-round.
2. Empire Coffee & Tea Company: I can’t share gift ideas without including one of my favorite things…tea. This popular NY company has been in business since 1908. In addition to their NY shop, they also sell a variety of both loose and bagged teas (fine imported, specialty, rare, etc.) online. There is something to be said for longevity…
3. Eskayel: I wouldn’t normally think of wallpaper as a Valentine’s Day gift, but this wallpaper is more like art. That is because Brooklyn-based artist Shanan Campanaro digitally manipulates sections of her watercolor paintings to create the wallpaper. I especially like the Capri Kiss design from her “Island” collection. It’s a splurge at $350.00 for a 2′ x 11′ Drop but the recipient will love it. (I know that I would!)
4. John Masters Organics: This company is known for their pampering “green” offerings. I love baths and showers so their Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash and Body Milk would be a special treat. I happen to love the smell of both blood oranges and vanilla.
5. Maison 24: Allison & Louis, a sister and brother team, are the owners of this eclectic company that has a store based in Bridgehampton, NY. They also sell items at www.maison24.com. I especially like their home goods offerings. Their 18″ x 18″ “Love Pillow Pink” would make a special treat. It is made out of an antique pink silk velvet pillow and has a gold metallic love screen print. Warning: their prices are not inexpensive – the pillow is $190. Then again, the store is based in the Hamptons…
6. StainedGlass NYC: Robert F. Rodriguez, a NYC dad and custom stained glass designer, has created a special selection of stained glass jewelry boxes for Valentine’s Day. The handmade boxes are made of pink or red stained glass and feature beveled center hearts. This is a great option for those who crave one-of-a-kind gifts, because no two boxes will look exactly alike. (I especially like the “Queen of Hearts” jewelry box, but you can find his full line here.)
